DealerJet Cookie Policy

1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy describes how DealerJet, a business registered in the Province of Ontario, Canada ("DealerJet," "we," "us," or "our"), uses cookies and similar browser storage when you use our software service (the "Service"), including the web dashboard at app.dealerjet.ca and the DealerJet Chrome extension.
This policy supplements, and is incorporated into, our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.
2. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser so it can remember information between page loads, most importantly that you are the person who signed in. Browsers also offer similar storage ("local storage" and "session storage"), which this policy treats the same way.

It is set only when you choose a sort. Your choice is also saved with your account on our servers, so your list opens the same way on every device you sign in on. | 1 year |

dj_session and dj_csrf are strictly necessary: the Service cannot
work without them. Using DealerJet includes the DealerJet Chrome
extension: while Chrome is open and you are signed in, its regular
check-ins with DealerJet count as use. dj_inv_sort is a preference
cookie that only remembers a choice you made.
The dashboard also keeps a few display preferences in your browser's local and session storage, for example which sections you have folded and short on-screen messages carried from one page to the next. These stay in your browser and are not used to track you.
DealerJet sets no other cookies.
4. Cookies We Do Not Use
- No advertising cookies. We do not show ads and we do not help anyone else target them.
- No cross-site tracking. Nothing we set follows you around the web.
- No analytics cookies. If we add product analytics, we will use a tool that does not set cookies, or we will update this policy and ask for your consent before any such cookie is set, as PIPEDA's meaningful-consent guidance and Quebec's Law 25 expect.
Because DealerJet sets only the cookies described in Section 3, our site does not show a cookie-consent banner.
5. Third-Party Pages You May Visit From DealerJet
When you add a card or manage billing, you are taken to pages hosted by Stripe (checkout.stripe.com and billing.stripe.com). Stripe sets its own cookies on its own pages under Stripe's cookie policy. The same applies to Facebook, AutoTrader.ca, and CarGurus: when the DealerJet Chrome extension works on those sites in your browser, their pages are governed by those companies' own cookie practices. Cookies on those companies' pages are theirs, not ours.
6. The Chrome Extension
The DealerJet Chrome extension stores its settings and working state (for example, which vehicle it is posting) using Chrome's extension storage on your own device. This data is not a cookie and is not shared with other websites. The extension sends us only the information our Privacy Policy describes, as needed to carry out the actions described in Section 8.4 of our Terms of Service, including actions it performs automatically, such as scheduled posting. Removing the extension deletes this stored data.
7. Managing Cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Because our sign-in and security cookies are strictly necessary, blocking them will prevent you from staying signed in to the Service.
8. Changes to This Policy
If we change our cookie practices, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date. If a change introduces any advertising, analytics, or tracking cookie, we will ask for your consent before setting it.
