DealerJet — Cookie Policy

Plain-language summary: DealerJet uses only the cookies it needs to keep you signed in and keep your account secure. We set no advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, and no third-party analytics cookies — which is why you don't see a cookie-consent pop-up on our site. If that ever changes, we'll ask for your consent first.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser so it can remember things between page loads — most importantly, that you're the person who just signed in. Browsers also offer similar storage ("local storage", "session storage") that works the same way for the purposes of this policy.
2. The cookies DealerJet sets
We set only strictly necessary cookies — the ones the Service cannot function without:

That's the complete list. There are no hidden trackers behind it.
3. What we deliberately don't do
- No advertising cookies. We don't show ads and we don't help anyone else target them.
- No cross-site tracking. Nothing we set follows you around the web.
- No third-party analytics cookies. If we add product analytics in the future, we intend to use a cookieless, privacy-focused tool (such as Plausible). If we ever introduce a tool that does set non-essential cookies, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before any such cookie is set — as required by PIPEDA's meaningful-consent guidance and Quebec's Law 25.
4. Third-party pages you may visit from DealerJet
When you add a card or manage billing, you are taken to pages hosted by Stripe (checkout.stripe.com / billing.stripe.com). Stripe sets its own cookies on its own pages under Stripe's cookie policy. The same applies when you post a listing: the Facebook pages involved are governed by Facebook's (Meta's) own cookie practices. Cookies on those companies' pages are theirs, not ours.
5. The Chrome extension
The DealerJet Chrome extension stores its working state (for example, which vehicle you asked it to post) using Chrome's extension storage on your own device. This data is not a cookie, is not shared with other websites, and is sent to our servers only when you initiate an action that requires it (such as posting a car). Clearing the extension or uninstalling it removes this data.
6. Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Because every cookie we set is essential to the Service, blocking them will prevent you from staying signed in — but it's your browser and your call.
7. Changes to this policy
If we change our cookie practices, we will update this page and the "Last Updated" date, and — if the change introduces any non-essential cookie — we will ask for your consent before setting it.
